Decennium, a one-minute piece for solo piano, was composed in response to the call of the Composers Society (Singapore) on the occasion of its tenth anniversary. The piece comprises two elements, a short rhythmic cell based on the acronym of the CS(S) which represents an inviting Happy Birthday call. The second element is the pan-intervallic chord which was also used by the composer in his compositions Hanging Gardens op. 105, Cu Rua op. 106, and Aqua Ignis op. 107. This second element represents the artistic open-mindedness of the CS(S), because the chord comprises all the simple intervals feasible on a well-tempered piano. German pianist Ernst Moritz played the premiere on 17-08-2017.
